What's New

January '04 - In one week we had calls about taking in a total of 27 rabbits. There are simply too many and, for the first time, we have to turn them away. We are increasingly concerned about profit hungry pet stores and breeders as well as careless rabbit owners creating a population explosion. Vet bills and advertising costs are exceeding our revenue this month. We need some help.

December '03 - Apparently it's the Christmas shopping season. We have been inundated with orders for Bunny Slippers. More than our limited supply can fill :-( The good news is our investment in the new site is getting as much public attention as we had hoped. Blessings to everyone.

November '03 - This new website goes public. There's still a lot of work to do though. We exhibit at the 5th Annual Yuletide and Gifts Show.

July - October '03 - So many new bunnies! Every time we find a home for one, a new one (or two, or five...) comes our way. Many thanks to everyone. Most of the people who leave a rabbit with us, also contribute a cage or supplies. The rabbitry stays full to capacity (30 rabbits).

We exhibit at the Northeast Craft Show and the Christian Spiritualist Church Fall Expo. And we are working to increase our exposure on a very slim advertising budget.

June '03 - Lots of updates throughout the site. More pictures were added. We are working on adding some e-Books for children featuring pictures of our own rabbits.

May '03 - Now we have a Guestbook where visitors can leave a link to their website, an e-mail address or say "Hello" to other bunny lovers. We joined the American Fuzzy Lop Rabbit Club.

April '03 - Deb takes rabbits and products for display at Thunder Valley's Springtime on the Farm.

March '03 - We have added an Online Newsletter Subscription page.

February '03 - This "What's New" page is added to the site.

January '03 - We bought a few pairs of Bunny Slippers hoping they would sell. What we didn't expect is to sell out right away and have numerous requests for more. We are now trying to find a manufacturer to fill our orders.

Winter '02 - Deb begins advertising and publishing a newsletter.

Fall 2002 - Deb & Dale get married. Dale begins designing this web site and improves the rabbit hutch design. Meanwhile, more rabbits come and go. We purchase our first pedigreed breeders.

Summer '02 - The idea of starting a rabbitry is born. Deb is busy learning everything related to rabbits that she can. She develops her own feed blend and invests in supplies. The name and by-line are conceived. The rabbitry becomes . . .
Double 'D' Ranch - Deb & Dales' home for wayward bunnies.

Spring '02 - Deb sells her first rabbit, Lucky. A neighbor gives Deb a rabbit she found at a camp ground. We rescue a rabbit that was being neglected at a local pet store.

Winter '01 - Mario escapes his cage. He frees Babette from her cage and they do what bunnies do best. Dale designs and builds a hutch for the now pregnant Babette. Lucky is born.
