Pet Rabbit AdoptionTo view the most up to date list of available bunnies, please visit our Pet Finder site at www.petfinder.org. About Double D RanchBeginning in August of 2002 we became a foster care family for homeless rabbits and other small animals. We work out of our home and operate solely on family funds and donations. On average we have 30 to 40 rescued rabbits available for adoption. There are always more than we can take in. From time to time we have other animals available including chickens, other poultry, guinea pigs, hamsters and other small, non-carnivorous animals. All of our rabbits are indoor rabbits intended as house pets. We do not have any outdoor rabbits, wild rabbits or rabbits raised to feed other animals. No BreedingWe do not breed any rabbits and require that our adopting families do not breed their pets either. Through the Chautauqua County Humane Society we are able to get our male rabbits (bucks) neutered. We ask that anyone adopting a female rabbit (doe) have her spayed. When AdoptingThe cost to adopt any rabbit is $25. Included with every rabbit is a 5 lb. bag of our Special Blend Feed, a 4 lb mini-bale of Timothy Hay, 3 lbs of litter, a litter pan and two toys. There is an additional $5.00 fee for pedigree papers for show-quality registered rabbits. We do not refund any sale. We do our best to place every rabbit in a loving home. We also provide all the information necessary for proper care. If, after adopting a pet from us, you can not properly care for the animal, we will foster the rabbit until another home can be found. You may reserve a rabbit for up to 30 days with a $10. deposit. If you do not pickup your rabbit within 30 days, you forfeit your deposit as a donation to help care for the bunnies.
